More and more Germans are afraid of bacteria and viruses. As for the industry, cleaning products have long since been a business in the billions. But just how risky is it to handle antibacterial and aggressive cleansers where we live? The documentary HYGIENE MANIA (original title: HYGIENEWAHN) shows what kind of consequences overdoing it with cleanliness at home can have and how important bacteria are for us.
